The Seattle‐based, Grammy‐nominated Northwest Boychoir and Music Director Joseph Crnko will present a concert at IUCC as part of it’s California Summer Tour 2015. The 40‐member Northwest Boychoir’s program will include Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and Randall Thompson’s The Place of the Blest.
Under the direction of Joseph Crnko, the Northwest Boychoir is the premier children’s choir in the Pacific Northwest, with 200 young singers, ages 6 to 14, in five levels of graded training and
performing choirs. The treble members of the touring Northwest Boychoir range in age from 10 to 14 and perform regularly with the Seattle Symphony, on movie and video game soundtracks,
in professional recording studios, and as part of their own year‐round schedule of concerts. Every boy with the musical talent and drive to succeed is accepted into the program, regardless
of financial background.
This tour marks the Northwest Boychoir’s 24th national or international tour in 40 years. Prior tours have taken the choir to Great Britain, Eastern Europe, Washington, D.C., Australia, the
West and East Coast of the United States, as well as Japan and Hawaii.
