Join us on Tuesday, June 18, from 7-9pm, to hear from a team of local medical professionals who just returned from Gaza.
These doctors and nurses volunteered to be part of a World Health Organization sponsored medical mission to the Gaza Strip. For nearly 3 weeks they treated the sick and wounded at the European General Hospital in Khan Younis. During that time, they witnessed firsthand the horrors of the ongoing war in Gaza and the tremendous suffering and loss of life, particularly of children; at the same time, they saw the resilience and perseverance that characterized the people they encountered there. This heart wrenching experience has had a profound impact on them. As a result, they have decided to share their eyewitness accounts with the broader public. IUCC is honored to welcome them.
Here are some news articles/interviews by Mohamad a Palestinian-American critical care physician, and other team members.
