Second Harvest Food Bank of OC is an organization IUCC and M&S have been supporting for years. The need to provide nutritious food to our neighbors in OC has continued to exist and still requires our support. 

Mission & Services is creating a team to join the Second Harvest Food Bank in their 2nd Annual Fundraiser, “Walk to Feed OC.” We will be taking sign ups at a table between services starting on Sunday, 8/13. Here are the details:

When: September 9, 2023

Where: Tanaka Farms, Irvine

What time: 8am check in/9am opening ceremony/9:15am Walk

Additionally, if you cannot join on the walk, we are devoting the month of Sept to collect grocery store gift cards to be given to SHFB so they can purchase the item they need. The following stores are all great:

• Albertsons 

• Ralph’s

• Food for Less

• Vons

• Sprouts

• Trader Joe’s

Please consider adding a gift card to your grocery list to donate in September to help feed our neighbors in Orange County through this important organization. Hope to see you at the sign up table!
