Mission & Service and Families Forward are joining forces once again to ensure that every student has an equal "Back to School" experience. With a focus on supporting low-income elementary, middle, and high school students, this collaborative effort aims to distribute grade-appropriate school supplies in August. By providing these essential tools, the initiative aims to level the playing field for these students, enabling them to start the school year on the same footing as their peers and fostering their confidence.
To make this endeavor a success, Mission & Service and Families Forward are calling for donations from the community. Starting from Sunday, July 2nd, and continuing until Tuesday, July 25th, individuals and organizations can contribute to this cause. Donations can be made in person by dropping off items in the designated bins located in front of the Church.
The donation drop-off times are as follows:
Monday to Thursday: 9:30 am to 4 pm
Sundays: 9:00 am to Noon
By accepting donations during these specified times, the initiative seeks to make it convenient for donors to contribute towards providing students with the necessary supplies. Through the collective effort of the community, Mission & Service and Families Forward aim to empower disadvantaged students, promote educational equality, and support them in building their confidence for the upcoming school year.
